1922 Phonograph Doll Dolly Rekord Averill Co Madame Hendren 6 Cylinders

Description

This Madame Hendren Doll was born in 1922, weighed 5 lbs, and was 25" tall.  Manufactured by the Averill Manufacturing Company, she was named Dolly Rekord. Many phonograph collectors refer to Dolly-Rekord as the Madame Hendren doll.  She has all 6 of her original cylinders, which insert into her back and run on an early Arthur motor which turns on and off with a knob. . She is in very good condition and so is her dress. The elasticity in her pantaloons is loose so she has a pin in them. She appears to have either a very old dress which may be the original. There is a green satin ribbon sash at her waist and on the right side of her head. Dolly has a clip on each side in her hair that look original, to hold her human hair wig in place. The only crack that I see in her composition head and limbs is the crack on her left neck which someone tried to repair on left neck- see photos.
