  • Condition: Doll is in very, very nice condition. She has a composite head and hands and a cloth body. Cloth body shows some mild wear again. We believe it to be original. No holes or loose stitching. Not certain whether her gown and bonnet are original but is most certainly of the correct period. Underpants and booties are not original. Some crazing on her head and hands consistent with age. Brown eyes open and close as they should. Mark on the back of her head indicative of the 1922 date. Very, very nice doll.

    ANTIQUE 16" GRACE STOREY PUTNAM BYE LO BABY DOLL
    COMPOSITE HEAD & HANDS
    c. 1922
    Adorable 3 day old baby doll by Grace Storey Putnam with open/close eyes, brown hair, composite head and hands, cloth body and period clothing.
    Not certain whether her gown and bonnet are original but is most certainly of the correct period.  Underpants and booties are not original.  Some crazing on her head and hands consistent with age.  Brown hair.  Eyes open and close as they should.  Markings on the back of her head indicative of the 1922 date.  Cloth body shows mild wear.  We believe her body is original as it still has the baby cry button on her back side. No loose or missing stitching.  Very, very nice doll.
