Antique Composition Bobble Head Girl Doll Canada Souvenir Blue Dress Nodder 1930

Description

Sweet vintage little girl bobble head / nodder doll. The adorable blonde girl with side looking eyes wears a white bow in her hair and a teal blue dress. She carries a gold colored basket and has an old maple leaf transfer indicating she is an old souvenir of Ottawa Canada. Believed to date from the 1920s or 30s and being made of composition or some kind of papier mache. There is an interesting interior mechanism made of wood and wire to enable her head to bobble. I could not get her stand on her own. This is not my area of expertise. The only doll I found similar is a Bobbie Mae Swing & Sway which was produced in the 1930s and 40s by Wondercraft.
SIZE: Approx. 7.5” (20cm) tall
CONDITION: Very good antique condition. There are a few minor losses: one point of her bow and two spots in her hair. Her left arm has a chunk of material missing, exposing the metal frame below. SEE PHOTOS
