Antique Large 30” Doll K&W 777/14 Konig & Wernicke Celluloid Head & Composition

Antique Large 30” Doll K&W 777/14  Konig & Wernicke Celluloid Head & Composition Body. It measures about 28" to 30" tall depending on how I layed it out so it is certainly a fairly large size. Photo 10 shows a close-up of the markings on the back of her head - K&W 777/14. She came with a fancy hat that is certainly a genuine old one and it is included with the doll but no other clothing or shows are included. One hand has a missing finger and one hand has a missing finger and thumb, otherwise the composition looks decent. The head appears to be fine, I think the sleep eyes are blue eyes and made of glass, the hair wig is original and is probably real hair. Please see my 12 detailed photos.
König & Wernicke Dolls 1911-1935 German
Max Köenig (also spelled Konig), along with Max and August Rudolph founded their Puppenfabrik (doll factory) in Waltershausen, Thüringia, Germany in 1911 known as Konig & Rudolph.  The following year 1912, the two Rudolph's left the company and Rudolph Wernicke jointed the firm and the company name was changed to Konig & Wernicke.  The bisque heads for Konig & Wernicke dolls were supplied from the porcelain factories of Bahr & Pröschild, Hertel, Schwab and Armand Marseille.  They also must have made dolls of celluloid, as the KW doll mark contains the turtle mark as well.  In 1931 Konig & Wernicke obtained the doll factory of Adolf Wislizenus.
Konig & Wernicke used the doll mark K & W or K & WW.
Some Konig & Wernicke doll trade names are: My Playmate doll - Mein Spielgefährte and My Pride doll - Mein Stolz doll mold 4711, both dolls were distributed in the USA by George Borgfeldt., Butterfly Baby doll mold 90, K & W Nicaput is a painted hard rubber doll.
Koenig & Wernicke made Dolly face, Character Baby and Character dolls, all of good quality.
