As always I recommend always measuring child's foot since sizes may vary from brand to brand. I am listing several pairs of size 8 toddler shoes and this pair measures almost an inch shorter and 1/2" less wide.
They measure 2 +7/8"  across widest part of shoe and 6 3/4" length toe to heel.
