Hard to find, antique 1918, Effanbee, jointed composition BABY BUD Hawaiian doll

Description

Wonderful and very rare, 7" tall, all original,
signed:
Effanbee in script
across the shoulders, chubby, brown skinned, Hawaiian
Baby Bud,
composition doll
, c.1915-18
. She has brown painted eyes, smiling closed mouth, straight black, thick hair and molded suit with ribbon tie at neckline beneath her original grass skirt, jointed arms and molded apart, stiff legs to stand. Good overall condition with some paint flakes, mostly to legs and torso (covered by grass skirt) little crazing on one ankle. Charming little Effanbee doll with spring stringing and one of a small series of hard to find, early Effanbee dolls. (2999) Last few photos show additional black dolls (
