JD Kestner baby all original Christening gown/booties C. 1910 L@@K!!!
BEAUTIFUL 13" (head to toe) baby with the sweetest face and bright blue German glass paperweight sleep eyes! All original cap, Christening gown, slip and pink knit booties! She wears a vintage diaper, but I do not believe it to be circa 1910 like the rest of the doll. No cracks, chips, or repairs to her porcelain head. Sleep eyes have a bit of paint loss on the right eyelid. She sits very nicely. Composition body in very good condition with the exception of normal wear for a doll this old. Hands have a slight dark tinge to part of them, but again, due to age/play I believe. Her right hand has what appears to be a slight 'crack like' seperation by her pointer finger, might even be from manufacturing but am not sure. It does not detract from her beauty/integrity and is not super obvious (in my opinion). Compo body and arms/legs are painted beautifully and pretty clean, however being that this was a child's toy 110 years ago, there are some slight paint chips to ends of fingers, toes and at joints. Bonnet, dress and slip have only a couple of small stains and only a couple of little holes.  All in all not much damage for her age.  BTW, I am not an antique doll expert by any means, so please see all photos and determine for yourself. No moth/insect damage to any part of clothing, still white and mint despite some wrinkles from storage in my climate controlled smoke free pet free home. Pink booties are delicate, with the right one needing a little needle repair to keep it from falling off her foot. All ribbons look original and in pretty good condition. Again, please study all photos as they are part of the description.
