Description
Erotic No.5, hand signed, Edtn. 10/300, rosewood and glass frame; certificate of authenticity providedIn 1969, as a wedding gift for Yoko, John drew the 'Bag One Portfolio'— thought to be inspired by their wedding ceremony, honeymoon, and plea for world peace. The next year, the artwork was produced in a series of three hundred portfolios of fifteen signed prints each. The majority depict John and Yoko's most intimate, private moments—upon their first exhibition in London, more than half were deemed 'indecent' and confiscated by Scotland Yard. The complete set of Bag One lithographs is on permanent display at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
