Description
Up for your consideration today is this utterly charming Blink doll by Horsman. He's a comic character based on Gene Carr's New York World comic strip, "Lady Bountiful". Dolls were designed by Bernard Lipfert and have round faces and exaggerated features. Blink also came dressed as a Carnival Kid in Pierrot type clown outfits. The information on the doll reference site states they are 14 inches tall, but this one is 13 inches tall, without his hat and is 100% a Horsman Blink Carnival doll. The doll reference website also states that he came in an orange & black outfit, but I do believe that this outfit he has on is original, it is tacked on in the back and therefore I can't and won't remove his clothes. I don't know if the hat is original, but I for in fact believe the outfit is 100% original. He has no shoes and I don't know if he came with shoes. His condition is quite good for his age, he has some spotting on his head, he is missing a thumb (see pics) and his outfit has some spotting, but other than that, I believe him to be in very good condition. I've seen other Blink dolls on the Internet and most are in horrible condition and not original outfits. His head and hands are composition, his body/legs/arms are cloth and firmly stuffed. He arms/legs move, but can't move a lot because his clothing fits him to a tee and his head is stationery. This is one of those that is so much more adorable in person than the pictures can detect. These dolls were made between 1915-1918, so antique indeed! I guarantee this guy will bring a big smile to your face!Shipping costs for the USA are .00 and fully insured, with signature confirmation, no exceptions.
