Very RARE, composition, Oriental Asian, HOO CHOY Chinese doll, original jacket

Description

We are delighted to present to you our darling, 13 1/2" tall, Oriental (Asian, Chinese) girl (or boy) doll,
"HOO CHOY
, The Little Goddess of Good Luck",
as shown and described on page 235,
"Collector's Encyclopedia of American Composition Dolls" Volume II-Mertz, circa 1930s.
This sweet child has steel,
spring jointed, strung
arms and frozen legs with flat feet to stand and a solid neck. She has all her original paint finish which is a rich golden tan,
side glancing, black painted eyes, full lips, cheek blush and black molded and painted short hair.
She wears her original, evenly faded blue-green, linen embroidered jacket, flat slippers and black, silk-like trousers with blue braid trim and matching cap with blue trim, back closure (
Loc K
Asian) This sweet child is extremely hard to find in any condition and truly a treasure. She is in good to fair condition with some crazing and no repairs or repaint (paint on slippers is cracked and very worn).  Her or his sister is shown in last phot and listed separately (not included with this listing).
