Vintage 1930s 390 1310 Marked Kimport Composition Holland Girl Doll 8" Tall

In very good vintage condition, a made in Holland Kimport doll (with tag under skirts. open parted mouth, blue sleep eyes. a tatting head piece over mohair hair. Great expression. Hand painted and hand stitched clothing that are multi- layered in cotton and wool. Black stocking. wooden Dutch shoes. 10 inches high. Right shoe is loose. Wooden red beaded necklace. Good condition to all of her and clothing. A wonderful Kimport. The company began in Independence, Mo. The family was looking for a way to make a business during the Great Depression. They began with quilting patterns that are still used today. They then started making dolls and sourcing makers from original countries. Great story. Great dolls.
So many dolls from different countries, including U.S. good size to collect. The family insisted upon good quality work, which is why they are still in good condition. Their price points are still reasonable to start collecting.
