In very good vintage condition, a made in Hungary Kimport doll (with tag under skirts. painted face, blue  eyes. Long braids. Sweet expression.  hand stitched clothing that are multi- layered in cotton and wool. Shoes are fabric sewn on Good condition to all of her and clothing. A wonderful Kimport. The company began in Independence, Mo. The family was looking for a way to make a business during the Great Depression. They began with quilting patterns that are still used today. They then started making dolls and sourcing makers from original countries. Great story. Great dolls. (Last photo is an old newspaper clipping about Kimport)
So many dolls from different countries, including U.S. good size to collect. The family insisted upon good quality work, which is why they are still in good condition. Their price points are still reasonable to start collecting.
