Complete Seal Repair Kit
for actuator part #'s 21910902 3812269 3860883 3862210 3862513  as well as others.
This kit contains seals for all 8 seal locations (9 seals) that you need to re-seal the entire steering actuator.  It has two(2) large outer seals that seal the outer floating housing to the inner housing. It has the end cap O-ring seal as well as the rod pressure seal and wiper seal.  There are 2 small O-ring seals for the 2 bronze pressure line fittings as well as the two different versions of piston seals that were used in the various models of these actuators.   The three cup style pressure seals are made from Viton which is the best longest life solution for ATF.  In addition, all of these seals are
manufactured
in the USA, not China.
PLEASE BE AWARE that there is another seller listing these products on E-Bay and they are using my pictures of my seals in their listing.  They are NOT buying their seals from me.  It is unknown what seals they will be sending since the pictures they show are of my seal kit.  They are shipping from China.

If your piston in the inner pressure cylinder has a bronze-colored Teflon pressure seal and you just want to replace it only, you can order it at the following link  :  https://www.ebay.com/itm/325460576277  .  To install, it is generally helpful to soak the Teflon part of the seal in hot water (approx 160 deg F) for about 5 minutes.  After install, you will want to put a hose clamp around it to help shrink the Teflon back to proper size.  Lubricate well with the oil you will be using in the actuator to help with re-assembly into the cylinder.
This kit will not address the significant problem that you commonly see when rebuilding these actuators which is a cracked plastic piston.   These seals will not solve that problem.   Once the crack reaches the seal around the center of the piston the high-pressure oil flows under the seal to the other side of the pressure chamber thereby defeating the power assist function of the actuator.  When this happens, the boat is more difficult to turn and sometimes near impossible to turn.   We have a solution for this issue as well but since the replacement of the piston requires special tooling recommend you do not buy the seal repair kit and instead you send us the actuator so we can repair it.  You can see our rebuild at this E-Bay link:   https://www.ebay.com/itm/325364049020
