Description

Up for sale from my Mom's estate of dolls and collectibles is an antique or vintage celluloid or a composition baby doll with working crier and blue glass sleep eyes.
Vintage or antique celluloid or a thin composition baby doll - darling face!
10 1/2"
Baby head with working sleep eyes that are blue glass eyes.
Open mouth with 2 teeth.
Reddish hair is airbrushed.
Mom-made arms and legs (made from flesh colored vintage nylon children socks.)
Attached to a hard cardboard body
I am guessing a composition as side of head is lightly crazed. But could be a celluloid. NOT a plastic.
Looks to be original baby outfit with bonnet. A fleece with red/white trim.
Outfit is sewn together. And attached to body.
Head is not well attached to body. Crier works!
I could not find any markings on back of neck.

CONDITION:
Nylon arms and legs could use a cleaning. But they just don't really match the head. Head and shoulder unit at attached to body but are loose.
Little area of crazing on side of head. See picture.
From non-smoking house.
I am certainly no expert and if you have a question, please ask because I probably didn't think to include something.
Please be confident on fragiles as I wrap well with paper and bubblewrap.
